Our Programs

From leadership development to research commercialization, we offer tailored initiatives that inspire growth and transform ideas into action.

The Young Innovation Leaders (YIL) Fellowship

A premier training and mentoring initiative designed to cultivate visionary leaders who drive and manage transformative innovations across various fields. Over the past 6 years, Hutzpa has trained over 1000 young professionals (20 – 30 years) from more than 30 African countries on inspiring, initiating, managing, and leading innovations.

Research Commercialization and Acceleration Program (RECAP Fellowship)

A program focused on turning groundbreaking research into viable products and services, providing support from initial concept through market introduction and growth. Through this program, Hutzpa has trained empowered dozens of lecturers on how to engage in impact-driven and demand-driven research and translate their research into substantial IP assets.

Job Club

A dynamic platform offering career development resources, job placement assistance, and networking opportunities to enhance professional growth and employment prospects for young people. It is designed to support young people get into a profitable work within the first 20 weeks of engagement.

The Value Creation Network

A collaborative ecosystem fostering innovation and value creation through strategic partnerships, industry insights, and shared expertise. This network is designed to help professionals at any level transition into the world of entrepreneurship and marketplace value creation.

Responsible AI Nigeria (RAIN)

An initiative dedicated to the ethical development and deployment of artificial intelligence, ensuring responsible practices and advancing the conversation on AI governance and impact.

Research for Impact Initiative

The Research for Impact Initiative (R4I), launched by TETFund, has trained over 1,000 researchers from more than 200 public universities and polytechnics across Nigeria. This two-week program equips participants with design-thinking concepts and demand-driven research approaches, enabling them to effectively commercialize their research and achieve tangible societal impact.

Hutzpa’s Input: Conceptualized, designed the program, and led the training of the participants

IP SALAYE

The IP SALAYE Project (IP Skills Acquisition, Learning, and Youth Entrepreneurship) is a capacity-building initiative for young entrepreneurs in Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), aimed at helping them identify and leverage intellectual property for business and commercialization. The project features a dynamic curriculum focused on problem-solving through design thinking, guiding participants to address real-world challenges.

Hutzpa’s Input: Conceptualized, designed the program, and led the pilot program in Abuja.

I-FAIR

The i-FAIR program (Innovation Fellowship for Aspiring Inventors and Researchers) is a joint initiative between the State of Israel and the Office of the Vice President of Nigeria. This program enabled researchers and inventors to create prototypes and minimum-viable products, driving them toward successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Hutzpa’s Input: Managed the program for the first two years of implementation

MultiplexAI

MultiplexAI is a low-cost, scalable AI diagnostic system that upgrades any optical microscope to autonomously detect and differentiate multiple parasites from a single sample, enhancing diagnostic efficiency at the point of care. By integrating computer vision and AI models, it operates offline, enables rapid, accurate diagnoses, and can be adapted to various sample types in resource-limited settings, improving global access to diagnostics.

Hutzpa’s Input: Responsible for the commercialization of this research concept owned by Spotlab Madrid and Barcelona Institute for Global Health, Spain in 4 African countries.

EpochZero

EpochZero is an AI-based diagnostic solution that enhances the speed and accuracy of medical image interpretation, reducing diagnostic errors and enabling quicker interventions, especially in critical cases. Its scalable design allows deployment in regions with limited radiology services or internet access, while also offering training opportunities for healthcare professionals to improve their interpretation skills.

Hutzpa’s Input: Product Management, Regulatory Compliance, and Market Development

CarbonEx

CarbonEx is a digital platform that tracks carbon sequestration on farmlands, connecting smallholder farmers to global carbon markets and providing access to climate finance through sustainable farming practices. By leveraging satellite remote sensing and machine learning, it simplifies carbon tracking, enhancing soil health, crop yields, and climate resilience while supporting long-term growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Hutzpa’s Input: Hutzpa owns the IP. Project was developed in the YIL Fellowship.

Theragist

Theragist is an innovative online platform that enhances mental health support through storytelling and cognitive-behavioral therapy, allowing users to anonymously share their struggles while receiving empathy and guidance from peers and trained psychotherapists. By utilizing AI-driven sentiment analysis to identify users in distress and facilitating both virtual and in-person connections, Theragist creates a supportive community that empowers individuals to confront their mental health challenges in a safe and interactive environment.

Hutzpa’s Input: Hutzpa owns the IP. Project was developed in the YIL Fellowship.
